2024 AATC Graduate Student Scholarship Application

A small number of scholarships are available to help graduate students attend the AATC Conference. In order to be considered for a scholarship, please complete this form. Scholarships are issued depending upon expressed need, ability to work at the conference, and available funds. These scholarships are intended for those who attend the full conference and do not receive sufficient funding from other sources
to cover registration.

Typical responsibilities include providing approximately 4-8 hours of assistance divided between the following tasks: assisting at the registration desk, facilitating conference sessions, helping with room setup (when appropriate), collating materials, monitoring book fair exhibits (in applicable), and other duties as assigned. When not assisting with conference logistics, scholarship recipients are encouraged to enjoy the conference by attending sessions and networking with other AATC members. Work schedules are flexible and can be modified by collaborating with the coordinator to allow you to attend sessions of particular interest.

If interested in assisting at the AATC’s Annual Conference in Denver, CO (2024) please complete all sections of this form and return it to Dana Haraway, harawadk@jmu.edu, no later than September 20, 2024.

NOTE: Please be sure to notify Dana Haraway, harawadk@jmu.edu, ASAP if you receive
other funding and no longer in need of scholarship assistance for your registration.
If you apply for a scholarship, please still be sure you register for the conference by the deadline.

Your scholarship will apply towards your registration ONLY and you will be reimbursed according to the award you receive. You are responsible for any registration costs not covered by your award. Your scholarship award cannot be applied to any other costs.

APPLICATION PROCESS
1. Complete the Personal and Academic Information section (page 1)
2. Provide a descriptive Statement of Need and Interest. Include your travel dates and times (page 2)
3. Sign and date the form (page 2)
4. Request your advisor or program chair complete the Verification of Student Status form
5. Save and send the entire document to Dana Haraway, harawadk@jmu.edu, no later than September 20, 2024.
6. Register for the conference by the deadline.
